Outland Arts Insider News letter issue
1
Welcome to the first issue of Outland Arts Insider, our
bi-monthly email newsletter. This report covers
everything
Outland Arts has in the works, including
games, art and assorted books. Our flagship property is
The Mutant Epoch, a tabletop adventure role-playing
game, as well as the art, fiction and other merchandise
in the works to support this post apocalyptic milieu. We
also produce stock art sets for gamers, publishers of
fantasy novels and games through our Fantasy Clip Inks
line, along with limited edition lino prints, and a wide
assortment of merchandise through various online
fulfillment sites such as
The
big news is that we are aiming to release The Mutant
Epoch at the end of October, PDF versions being
available from RPGnow, Drivethru RPG, Your Games Now.com,
and lulu.com as well as our recommended option of print
on demand (POD) available through lulu.com and
RPGnow.com .There will also be a limited release of
print copies available to retail outlets in Kamloops,
British Columbia at High Octane Comics and Collectibles
and hopefully All Aboard Games. The suggested retail
price for the physical Hub Rules book, which includes
membership in the Society of Excavators and access to
all the growing source material found in the member’s
only section of the coming website, is $27.99. The PDF
only version will sell for about $12.99
There will be a book launch event at High Octane
sometime in very early October 2010. Standby for more
info on the date and time for this and other events.
Direct mail order from Outland Arts.com will follow soon
after the book launch event as soon our new site is up
and open for business at the end of October.
In other news we want to
thank all those who came by our Outland Arts booth at
BigCon 2010 in Kamloops, British Columbia. I especially
want to thank Cody, Eric and Jon for sitting down for a
beer and a game session after the first day of the con
to try out the soon to be released mini-adventure titled
Beyond Red Crater. I hope to be continuing that
adventure at All Aboard Games as soon as possible!
Also, I want to thank all of you who sat down and
rolled up a character. I have the stack of character
sheets next to my desk and still need to draw the
portraits for each and get them back to you at one or
the other game shops in Kamloops.
Thanks are also in order to Clive Lovett for all his
work organizing the convention along with the sponsors
ourselves Outland Arts, All Aboard Games and High Octane
Comics and Collectibles. Additionally, thanks go out to
Bill Frymire of frydesign for loaning us the display
panels for our booth and the adjacent art show. Finally
a big thank you goes out to Nathan B. for bringing me a
huge sample of green stuff to sculpt some miniatures
with. I've tried the two part compound and love that I
don't need to bake the figures after I sculpt them, and
can add the green stuff to existing minis to enhance
them. My kids and I play a 25mm fantasy adventure game
whenever time permits.
We will be at BigCon 2011 with a lot of new books for
sale, as well as even more awesome post apocalyptic
props besides the chain gun which was such a hit this
year!

Contest Winner
Every so often we will
need to announce the winner to one of our contests.
Several issues of Excavator Monthly magazine present
contests and we need a way to let everybody know who
won. Contests include the 1st annual
Post-Apocalyptic photo contest, giveaways, random draws,
PC (player character) dead pile additions, and more,
with prizes including limited edition lino prints, free
TME products, original art, cards, posters and other
great merchandise.
Ongoing Game
What’re we playing at? Here we give quick update on our
own RPG sessions using the Outland System, what the
group fought, what rank they are now at, which PCs died,
where they went, and more.
Don’t worry, we won’t
tell you about our characters nor get long winded with
this, but we may add a few images now and then.
Currently
I have two groups that I GM for, one from BigCon who are
playtesting Beyond Red Crater, and the other is deep
into surviving within the Mall of Doom adventure.
The Outland Arts Insider
newsletter will be archived to the Outland Arts website
and be accessible to those not on the current mailing
