While there isn’t much to see here yet, I’ve
created the permanent home for our next book,
Nuke Tower, Adventure TME-6.
With the release of
The
Mutant Epoch Expansion Rules, I’ve turned
the creative portion of my Outland Arts focus to
the next major RPG project, although won’t give
any sort of firm release dates on this one as
there are many The Mutant Epoch other projects
on the go. Some of those other projects include
the novel series, 3rd party publisher license,
Getting the
Outland Arts Newsletter back on its feet,
One
Day Digs, community support activities,
advertising, and growing or social media
presence.
In short, for the time being, Nuke Tower is
my daily bed time reading. In the above picture,
I have my iPad out at a Starbucks and am just
going through the already written adventure and
getting the text ready for proofreading and
subsequent layout. Once the layout version is
done, with all the known art blocks and map
slots established, then I start the art. I guess
this book will be 150 pages long, with about 100
illustrations and between 10 and 20 maps. It
will be a multi-path adventure so you can play
it solo, or with a group, over and over with
very little chance of similar events between
sessions— although the start point and any
successful conclusion will probably be quite
similar each time.
Unlike all previous adventures, this one is
for mid-tier characters from the 3rd to 5th
rank, with a recommended two PCs per player
because it’s a deep ruin crawl, with limited
support, few options to heal between engagements
with hostiles, and a few opponents that have the
potential to kill a character in one round. I
can hardly wait to get drawing for this one, and
do my first local test plays with the
layout-stage copy.
Kindest regards,
William McAusland (Mutant Lord)
